Aviation Consulting Partners was established by Joanne Keestra as a
boutique strategy consultancy serving airlines, airports, air
services and tourism. She has more than 15 years' senior experience
in strategy consulting in aviation and other industry sectors.
Joanne was previously a Partner and Director of international
strategy advisors, L.E.K. Consulting, founding L.E.K.'s New Zealand
office. Earlier in her career she worked with The Boston Consulting
Group and Coopers & Lybrand. In addition to her consultancy work,
Joanne is a non-executive director of the state-owned enterprise,
the New Zealand Meteorological Service (MetService) and its
international subsidiary, Metra.
Joanne is highly experienced in all aspects of strategy development,
including market and competitive analysis, assessment of growth
opportunities, new product launch, pricing strategy, business
restructuring, valuation, and M&A. She has applied these skills
across a range of countries to: developing domestic/international
airline strategies; business planning for low cost carrier
start-ups; airline turnaround planning for creditors; customer
segmentation and route profitability analysis; benchmarking of
airports and airlines; identifying growth opportunities; acquisition
due diligence and valuation; establishing airport landing charges;
developing aviation congestion management frameworks; re-engineering
airport operations; and evaluating airport retail/service
franchisees.
